Veterans Day/ Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier.

Updated: Oct 5

For the first time in nearly a century, the public will get to pay respects to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in a way few have the opportunity to do.

Arlington National Cemetery stated Thursday afternoon that on Nov. 9-10, from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., the viewing public can walk the Tomb Plaza and lay a flower at the tomb's base.

Nov. 11, 2021 marks 100 years that the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier has served as "the heart" of the cemetery.

Among the ceremonies planned for that day will be a Joint Full Honors Procession, Joint Full Honors Flyover with 17 aircraft, an Armed Forces Full Honors Wreath-Laying Ceremony followed by the National Veterans Day Observance at ANC’s Memorial Amphitheater.
